About Tonya DeCroce

  • Tonya DeCroce, MS,CCC-SLP is certified by the American Speech Hearing Association (2001). Tonya received her Master of Science in speech-language pathology from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication and theater with an emphasis in mass media from Western State College, Gunnison, Colorado.
  • Tonya worked as a speech-language-pathologist for the Providence Health System in Portland, Oregon from 2002 to 2005 (she remains on-call with Providence at present). As the primary, solo speech-language pathologist lead for her territory, Tonya was responsible for a 60-bed+ acute medical-surgical, teaching hospital and an outpatient clinic serving both adults and pediatrics.
  • Tonya is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment™ program (2003) appropriate for Parkinson’s and other neurological diagnoses and she received training by Sam Chwat, MS, CCC-SLP, for accent reduction and modification (2004).

Her work as a female voice talent, radio broadcaster, corporate trainer and technical writer informs her professional speech-language pathology services and clinical work. Tonya continues to perform voiceover assignments and speaks to professional and business groups in Portland, Oregon.

Travel in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the South Pacific, whetted her inexhaustible appetite for diverse cultures and learning experiences. Tonya worked for over a year, including a winter on the ‘ice’, for the United States Antarctic Program, providing logistical support for the National Science Foundation’s research in McMurdo, Antarctica.

As the principal of Express-for-Success, she provides all ages with a complete suite of professional and clinical communication services to maximize educational, vocational, professional, and personal success through training and coaching in voice and speech.
